torrontés
Indigenous to Galicia in northern Spain, it is now mostly found in Argentina where there was a planting of around 40,000 acres in 1990. Torrontes is often seen as the white Argentinean variety with the greatest potential. It tends to produce wines that are light in body, high in acidity and grapily aromatic which is reminiscent of muscat.
